STOCK ANALYSIS PROJECT
OBJECTIVE: To increase awareness of stock market activity and price
fluctuation by choosing three stocks to follow throughout the semester.
POINT VALUE: 50 points
DUE DATE:
Using the information learned in class and the textbook, complete an
examination of your selected stocks answering the following questions.
CONTENT REQUIRED FOR REPORT
1.
Identify 3 stocks by name and symbol
2.
Describe what led you to select the stocks you picked.
3.
List recorded activity of stock prices (at least 3-4 times per week).
4.
In your opinion, what would be the investment objective for the average
investor selecting these stocks.
5.
Had you bought 100 shares of the stock from the company you selected,
list:
a.
original total investment amount.

current total stock value.
c.
amount of increase or decrease from original investment.
6.
Include background information about each company from Internet
searches, and pay particular attention to any items in the news.
7.
Did your company have any news during your tracking of the stock? Did it
affect the stock price?
8.
Chart your daily recordings using Excel or another spreadsheet program
and include the chart(s) in your report. Chart the closing price of each
company’s stock for each day recorded.
9.
Report should be typed and in proper report format, generally 3-4 pages in
length.
