EVST sought to have an exception for transfer students from the 2 semester foreign language
requirement. The proper method to address this issue is internally within the department as part of
advising, rather than complicating General Education requirement compliance. Thus, with approval of
EVST Major FLSS exception previously applied for EVST will add this major requirement and have the
authority to waive or substitute for transfer students like any other major requirement.
V Copies and Electronic Submission
Once approved, the original, a paper copy and an electronic file are submitted to the Faculty Senate
Office, UH 221 (camie.foos@mso.umt.edu).
VI Department Summary Required if several proposals are submitted. In a separate document
list program title and proposed change of all proposals.
