Re Lower Division Core Course Offerings: Change proposed to eliminate redundancy in course offerings
in light of substantial overlap in content between Ling 173 and Ling 270.
Re Upper Division Sub-Area Offerings: changes proposed to reflect current course offerings (LING 375
is a new course; LING 479 is no longer taught), new content in existing courses taught by new faculty
(LING 470, LING 474), and the addition of a Writing designation of one course (LING 473W).
