S.A.V.E. was established in August, 1990. It is a non‐profit 501(c) (3) organiza on. S.A.V.E. has been recognized for its work by the Na onal Environmental Awards Council, the Ohio House of Repre‐
senta ves, and the United Na ons Confer‐
ence on Sustainable Development. S.A.V.E. 
Sponsors five, free, bi‐monthly public lectures on various environmental topics (Sept‐April). 
Provides scholarships to underserved youth for Summer Science Camp at the Lourdes’ Center for Science Educa on and the Environ‐
ment (CSEE). 
Provides up to 3 Planet Earth Sustainability Awards at Northwest District Science Day an‐
nually. 
Presents annual Environmental Awards: Eco‐Educator (Elementary & Secondary) Eco‐Service Eco‐Friend of the Environment Eco‐School (Elementary & Secondary) Eco‐Community 
Publishes a quarterly newsle er. 
Sponsors the “I Love the Earth” Bake Sale and Raffle fundraiser on or near Valen ne’s Day. 
