If you are caught cheating during a test or quiz, then your test or quiz will be taken from you and you will receive a grade of 0% for that particular test/quiz and possibly the course. • Silence/shut down all cell phones, iProducts, laptops, etc. during all classes and exams. • Pencils will be required on all exams and quizzes. • If you know you are going to be absent for any part of the semester, make arrangements with me before, not after. 1 of 2 Homework Policy: • Late homework WILL NOT be accepted for any reason. Because things happen, I will drop the two lowest homework grades at the end of the semester. • Homework problems will be assigned from each section and collected every Wednesday, unless indicated otherwise. • Your homework will not be graded if the following instructions are not followed: 1. Your homework must be written in pencil. 2. The solutions you submit should be written neatly and in an organized manner. I recommend using scratch paper for harder problems and writing your final solution neatly to submit. If I or the grader cannot read it, we cannot grade it. 3. Write your name and the assignment number on the front page. If multiple sheets are required to complete an assignment, label each sheet with the assignment number, the section you’re working on and your name, and STAPLE them together. 4. Show your work! 5. You are encouraged to work together on homework assignments. However, each of you must submit your own assignment. Everything you submit should be in your own words, and you should thoroughly understand everything you write down. • Please feel free to come see me during office hours or e-mail me if you have questions about the homework. You may also get help from the Mathematics Tutoring Center (see below). Quiz Policy: Three quizzes will be administered throughout the course of the semester. No make-up quizzes will be given, except in the event of an emergency. Please write neatly in pencil, show all of your steps, and circle your answers on any quiz.
