The position will be responsible for assisting with developing and implementing public education and community engagement activities, grant management, creating and designing educational materials and using the District’s website, social media channels and other technology to communicate with target audiences, among other duties. Qualified candidates shall possess a Bachelor’s degree in hydrology, ecology, water resource management, environmental science, or related field and moderate experience in environmental education, or equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidate will possess strong abilities in written and oral communications, program development and management, fostering strong relationships to support the District’s work, organizational skills, and demonstrating a commitment to the organization’s core values. Knowledge of desktop publishing tools, web content management systems, social media and audio/visual equipment is preferred. Additional consideration for project management skills and supervisory experience. The salary range for the position starts at $37,000 annually; starting salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
