LOG YARD SUPERVISOR
BESSE FOREST PRODUCTS GROUP is seeking a highly motivated Log Yard
Supervisor, at our Birchwood Manufacturing facility in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. Experience
in log species identification and log yard equipment operation is preferred. Excellent
communication skills a must, log procurement experience and a Forestry Degree a plus.
The Log Yard Supervisor will assist the Plant Manager with the following:
 Supervise, trains and coordinates activities of workers within the Log Yard.
 Prepare logs for scaling and grading
 Coordinates selection and movement of logs
 Manage log yard inventory
 Optimize overall log yard layout to improve efficiencies and minimize cost
 Ensure log yard operations comply with all federal, state & local environmental rules &
regulations.
 Maintain a safe and efficient working environment
