Naturalist Positions
Trees For Tomorrow Natural Resources Specialty School in Eagle River, WI, is looking for highly motivated
individuals interested in gaining experience teaching people of all ages about the sustainability and wise use
of natural resources. Trees For Tomorrow has been delivering balanced, objective information on the
management and use of natural resources since 1944.
Available Jobs
• Four 12-month positions (August 24, 2014 – August 14, 2015). Application deadline: April 18.
• One summer position (mid May – mid August, 2014). Application deadline: March 7.

Qualifications
• Some teaching/programming experience with youth and/or adults.
• A positive attitude and the ability to work well with others/be a team player.
• Ability to effectively communicate to people of all ages and socio-economic backgrounds.
• College degree in a science, natural resource, outdoor education, education, or environmental education field.
• Minimum level of first aid with CPR certification valid through employment term.*
• Clean driving record/ability to drive a 15-passenger van.
• Ability to hike, canoe, bike, cross-country ski, and snowshoe (experience not required).
• Willingness to work outdoors through all seasons and weather.
* Occasional extra pay a possibility with Wilderness First Responder, Responding
to Emergencies, Emergency Medical Responder, or EMT certification
Duties
• Teach a variety of environmental education and outdoor skills courses to a variety of audiences.
• Drive a 15-passenger van to field sites.
• Write articles for our quarterly newsletter.
• Basic care and handling of live animals.
• Develop and create special projects (e.g. curriculum, displays, etc.).
