 Description
The Federation of Environmental Technologists, Inc. (FET) is pleased to offer Scholarships to students pursuing a
degree in an Environmental field related to the management and prevention of air, water, and solid/hazardous
waste pollution, and environmental health and safety.
Scholarship recipients will also be given free admittance to the FET 2014 Annual Conference & Exhibition on
October 29th and 30th and free membership in FET through June 30, 2015.
 Application Requirements and Information to Submit
Eligible students must be currently enrolled in a field of study that relates to Environmental management, and may be
in any year of study. Preference will be given on the basis of scholastic achievement and involvement in environmental
activities.
Note: Previous FET Scholarship recipients are ineligible to apply. Those who have applied in the past and did not receive
a FET Scholarship can re-apply. Applicants must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents and attend a college, university
or technical school in the United States.
SCHOLARSHIP APPLICANTS MUST SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION TO BE CONSIDERED:
1. Your name, address, telephone number, email address; also include a permanent mailing address if your current
address is only through this school year
2. Name of college or other school at which you are currently enrolled and Year of Study, and type of Degree you
are pursuing.
3. Current field of study and courses taken to date relating to the environmental, health and/or safety field
4. Current grade point average and class standing
5. Listing of environmental activities (paid or volunteer) that you have been or are currently involved with.
6. A statement of qualifications and career objectives including the environmental issues of interest to the
applicant, and the role the applicant expects to play in addressing these issues (no longer than one page)
7. A brief description of Financial need
8. Two Academic References with phone numbers to validate grade point average, class standing, and student
aptitude for this field.
 Application Deadline is Friday, September 5, 2014
Applications must be received no later than September 5, 2014 to: bhurula@fetinc.org In the subject line, please
indicate “FET Scholarship Application”, and submit the Application as an attached Word Document or a PDF file. If you
prefer to send it by mail, send to: FET, W175 N11081 Stonewood Drive, #203 Germantown WI 53022.
All applicants will be contacted in September 2014. Award Recipients will be invited to attend the luncheon at the
ENVIRONMENT 2014 FET Conference at the Country Springs Hotel in Pewaukee, Wisconsin on October 29th to receive
their Scholarships.
