1/ Base period base indices: PP, SP, WF, DF, and LP are based on June 2007, monthly average.
Adjustment factor for IC is no longer calculated.
2/ Ponderosa pine - Coast-Inland North
3/ White Woods
4/ Adjustment Factor also includes DF and WF Quality Ratio Factors. A factor of 1.183 for DF
and 1.368 for WF has been multiplied into the adjustment factor.
Base Indexes are normally the indexes for the last month of the previous quarter; however, the
current month's indexes are authorized when at least two species' indexes have changed more
than 10 percent from the current level. One of these two indexes must be a dimension species,
such as Coast or Inland Douglas fir, white fir, or whitewoods. Forests will be notified when
there are changes to the Base Indexes.
To insure that the most recent data is being used in the R5 appraisal system, information such as
the WWPA indices and the California Harvest Value Schedules may be used in the R5 appraisal
system as soon as they become publicly available.
