Fallers- 2 issues brought up by ops committee
1 How is the region doing with fallers in General?
2. What is a Faller module?
Ops Committee comments support the faller module program.
Try to get finished by mid July if the program is a FS lead.
Small Ops Group to be formed to look at specs
Possibly use R6 specs and solicitation (will need to be cleaned up and tailored to match
R1) Debby W. will get R6 info to Dan C.
Staffing issue- Committee non-unanimous decision to stay with 3 people on a T6 engine.
Other issue: no need for Tactical Tenders in the NR
Agreed to up the Complement on the T3 engines ( Mainly hose and Fittings)
Kevin will develop by 2/07 meeting
Hourly Vs Daily rates – Natl. decision to go with Daily
Solicit Heavy Water Handling Equipment with Transport in& out
SDVOB (Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business)
Either 2 priority lists or 1 list
SDVOB- being on the top of the priority list only in their perspective local dispatch area.
Severity-
Definition of Severity From Tim Murphy ( what is acceptable and not)
“During a severity assignment contractors may be assigned duties which include; patrol, prevention and education duties, refurbishment of fire equipment, i.e. washing and rolling hose. Duties that are not acceptable are; thinning projects, building maintenance and other projects that should be paid from home unit funds and take the contractor out of their classification for workers compensation coverage.” SCA agreed, Tim has submitted to Ron Schilz w/ Nation Group.
Severity Rate of 75% of the daily rate
10.5+ Hrs including lunch is a full day
Possibly put in a clause for holding resources and “resetting” their clock for breaching an assignment. 2 day unavailability for resetting the clock with not including travel. Large enough loss for vendor. More incentive to not leave a current assignment and “Fire Chase.” Debby to explore options to see if a penalty can be implemented.
Points system discussion.
T3 Complement to be increased for more hose and fittings. Kevin will draft & Ops
Committee decision.
