Trilithic & Spirit Integrate Field Service Products
Indianapolis, IN (Thursday, May 01, 2003). Trilithic Inc, a supplier of test equipment based in
Indianapolis IN, and Spirit Business Solutions, a software provider located in South Gibson, PA, have
announced a program to integrate their Field Service products into a seamless package. The solution will
allow electronic work order distribution through the cable system,
paperless installations and service work, and automatic collection of
technical and customer data. Spirit’s FieldServicePortalTM Solution will
enable field technicians to transmit and receive work from back office
systems and upload field measurements via a DOCSIS connection.
Using Trilithic’s new 860 DSPI TM Installation Analyzer, the installer or
service technician will complete the work order, attach test data and return the package to the back office
for final processing. The new system will insure installation completeness by automatically reviewing
documentation before allowing a technician to close out the work order. The companies say that this
integrated solution will enable cable operators to improve quality while reducing the cost of field service
work and digital installations.
