Our facility is a fully-equipped, integrated
manufacturing facility with a complete machine
shop for material preparation, fabrication, machining
and component assembly and testing. All of our railcar
maintenance equipment is functionally tested before
shipping, ensuring rugged and reliable equipment that
always lasts the long haul.
PORTABLE ELECTRIC JACKS
High precision engineering ensures Whiting portable electric jacks provide you with
the dependable service your rail operation needs, while at the same time ensuring the
safety of all who operate them. Whiting portable electric jacks are easy to maneuver,
giving you flexibility to easily perform maintenance work at any location and at any
time within your facility. Specialized bracket designs allow for complete customization
to ensure an exact match to your particular equipment.
BODY HOISTS AND SUPPORTS
Specific to the transit industry, Whiting body hoists and supports can be used in
conjunction with Whiting car hoists to facilitate body and truck separation, or to elevate
railcars to safe heights and hold them for inspections and repairs under the car.
CAR HOIST SYSTEMS
Whiting car hoists are your safe solution when repairing the railcar underbody and/
or side components. Only Whiting car hoists utilize a patented safety design to raise
and lower cars that reduces the possibility of accidents caused by sudden dropping
of the elevated car.
TRUCK & LOCOMOTIVE TURNTABLES & TRANSFER TABLES
Designed for both freight and transit service, turntables from Whiting are extremely
rugged and well-balanced and are used to rotate cars and bogie trucks from one track
to another. Whiting custom designs and builds turntable and transfer table systems to
meet your exact requirements.
ELECTRIC OVERHEAD CRANES
Whiting is an industry leader in the design and manufacture of custom-built
overhead cranes, suited to a variety of applications. Whiting overhead cranes
combine top value with economy by utilizing the latest engineering tools. Our
deep engineering bench and our experienced staff of installers and service
personnel make any turnkey project as simple and easy as saying “Whiting.”
DROP TABLES
Whiting pioneered the development of the drop table concept. Wheel set change
outs are fast, easy and efficient when you choose a Whiting drop table. Available
in single or double axle configurations, Whiting works alongside you to build a
system suited exactly to your needs.
ELECTRIC RAIL SHUNTING VEHICLES
Whiting supplies electric battery-operated railcar shunting vehicles and industrial
towing tractors suited for both on and off track uses.

which specializes in the maintenance and inspection of not only Whiting railcar maintenance equipment
and overhead cranes, but of other manufacturers’ similar equipment as well. Whiting Services provides
a comprehensive variety of services necessary to keep your equipment operating at maximum efficiency,
from installations and training to inspection and maintenance programs.

Whiting’s full-time, full-service parts department, staffed with engineering and quality assurance personnel, is always
