Online is
changing…
SNAB Online is changing from summer 2015 to make it compatible with the new 2015
AS/A level specifications, and to offer you the benefits of easier access, increased
support and improved activities. All the relevant content that we know you love will continue
to be available, plus exciting new content and features. The current SNAB Online service
will also continue to be available for students following the 2008 specifications.
What is new?
What is the same?
Content has been reviewed and updated to make it compatible with
the 2015 specifications and new content has been added to support new
requirements.
The new service will continue to provide the huge wealth of resources and
activities that teachers are familiar with for the SNAB course, including all the
practicals, student sheets, technician sheets, and the topic resources and review
tests that are clearly referenced throughout the student books.
Interactive activities have been improved to enhance the learning
process and to provide supportive, instant feedback for students.
The main topic activities and materials are accessed in a topic–by–topic
navigation structure that teachers are familiar with, and new material is clearly
visible.
Features such as the media bank of images for teachers to use as they wish, the
printing options and the glossary are all available in the new service.
New activities provide extra support for developing the maths skills
needed for AS and A level biology, and for developing understanding of core
biological concepts.
Teachers are able to obtain a range of helpful reports on students’
progress and areas of strength and weakness.
A new and improved molecule viewer gives enhanced modelling
and a better viewing experience.
Teachers and students are able to access SNAB Online activities from a range of
devices, including tablets and smart phones.
What happens to students already
mid-way through AS and A level
courses?
Subscribe to the new SNAB Online 2015 service for your new students and
automatically get access to www.snabonline.com for your existing students
absolutely free until Summer 2016.
Those existing users of www.snabonline.com (not subscribing to the new
SNAB Online 2015 service) may choose to pay for access until the end of
Summer 2016 only.
Any teachers or students using www.newsnab.com are advised that this
service is no longer supported and will be closed in September 2015.
