Workshop looks at winterizing acreage

A free workshop on getting your acreage ready for winter will be 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Tuesday (Oct. 17) at the 4-H Auditorium at the Clinton County Fairgrounds, 328
E. 8th St., DeWitt, Iowa.
Greg Brenneman, Iowa State University agricultural engineer field
specialist, will discuss winterizing buildings and equipment, pasture
maintenance and maintaining a wood supply.
Copies of the new book “Living on Acreages: What You Need to Know” will be
available for $20. The book covers such topics as designing a homestead,
accessing utilities and adapting to rural life.
The workshop is sponsored by ISU Extension in Scott and Clinton counties and
