Summer 2016 Housing Contract
Summer housing is available for students enrolled in a summer school class at UW-Stevens Point or participating in the English as a Second
Language (ESL) program. Other UW-Stevens Point students may request summer housing, but space is limited; summer school and ESL participants
are given priority.
Accommodations are reserved and billed on a weekly basis (weeks are defined as Sunday to Saturday). You will be charged via your UWSP student
account; charges are posted in advance for the full reservation.
Check-in times are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days/week.
Amenities
Meals
Summer 2016 housing for students will be provided in the Suites@201.
Each suite has four bedrooms, a shared kitchen, living room, and
restroom facilities. Bedrooms are single occupancy and lockable.
Residents must provide their own linens and toiletry items. More
information can be found online at: www.uwsp.edu/resliving/pages/
suites.aspx.
During the summer, there is no formal meal plan. PointCASH may be
used in limited on-campus locations during the summer term. Check their
website (www.uwsp.edu/dining) often for updates.
The Suites@201 are air-conditioned.
There is no phone service in residence hall rooms. You may bring your
own cell phone or contract with the Telephone Support Office for a “land
line” or cell phone service. The Telephone Support Office can be reached
at 715-346-2562 or by email: dl-telestaff@uwsp.edu.
Parking
Please contact Parking Services at 715-346-3900 or online at
www.uwsp.edu/parking for information on purchasing a
parking permit.

up packages. You can access your locked mailbox 24 hours/day.
Your suite (and bedroom) has internet and cable TV connections
available at no additional charge and there is a computer lab available
for your use in the building. Only students registered for a summer class
are able to utilize the printer in the lab.
There is a laundry room on each floor as well as the ground floor.
Washers and dryers are operated with PointCASH—see
https://pointcard.uwsp.edu/ for more information on PointCASH.
Due to our limited staffing, we regret that we are unable to provide our
residents with assistance in moving belongings into or out of the
residence halls. There are elevators in the summer hall.
Smoking Policy
No smoking is permitted on the UW-Stevens Point campus, including
the residence halls
We do our best to keep individuals living in the Suites@201 in the spring
in their same suite, but cannot guarantee that we will be able to do so.
(To facilitate this, individuals with spring 2016 or fall 2016 must submit a
summer housing contract by May 3 to ensure full consideration in
keeping their same room.)
Fees
Summer accommodations are reserved and paid for on a weekly basis.
All weeks begin on Sunday and end on Saturday. Only full weeks are
available for purchase; e.g., if you have a class that runs from
Wednesday, June 8 through Tuesday, June 14, you will need to purchase
two weeks: Week 3 (June 5-11) and Week 4 (June 12-18).
There is a $125 prepayment required with all contracts. The prepayment
will be applied towards your summer housing charges.
Cost (per person):
$135/week
Information regarding your assignment and other summer hall matters will be
communicated to you via your UWSP email account.
PLEASE BE CERTAIN TO CHECK IT FREQUENTLY.
PLEASE NOTE!
PLEASE NOTE!
The Suites@201 will be deep-cleaned this summer. Cleaning is
scheduled for May 31 through July 1. Each week, our summer
cleaning crew will be cleaning an entire floor. As a result, if you
will be staying with us during these weeks, it is probable that
you will need to vacate the suite you are in and relocate for the
time period (1-3 weeks) slated for your floor. We apologize for
this inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.
No building heat and no hot water.
Beginning Saturday, May 21 through Tuesday, May 31, the
university’s steam plant will be shut down. As a result, there is
no building heat and no hot water. We apologize in advance
for the inconvenience.
