Independent and consistent in identifying issues and problem solving. Required no intervention of clinical instructor. 4 = Performance above required standards at this level. Identified and problem‐solved most of the clinical issues. Required no hands‐on intervention of clinical instructor; only verbal guidance resulting in correct answer. 3 = Performance meets general required standards at this level. Identified and problem‐solved some of the clinical issues, but with minimal hands‐on or verbal guidance by the clinical instructor. 2 = Certain shortcomings in performance at this level. Maximum intervention and guidance needed for student to initiate and problem‐solving skills. 1 = Clinical skills are inadequate even with maximum intervention and guidance from the clinical instructor. Student does not have the clinical skills or knowledge for independent problem‐solving.
