Registration Sheet Tutorial
This form is provided by the Office of the Registrar for use by Summer Orientation advisors as they
assist new freshmen in the selection of courses for the Fall semester.
As a Summer Orientation Advisor, you do not need to assist the student with the creation of a
specific class schedule. Instead, you will use the course availability to identify courses that are open
and appropriate for the student to take. You could also use the online Timetable to search for
courses.
1
SIGN THE SHEET! – If you have not signed the sheet, the student cannot register
2
PREFERRED COURSES – list first-priority courses
3
CLOSED/PR AUTHORIZATION – If you need to give a student authorization for a
Closed and/or Permission Required course, check the appropriate box(es) and sign your
name. If possible, authorizations should be granted online.
4
DIRECT ALTERNATES – use this space to list specific alternates for the corresponding
PREFERRED COURSE
5
OTHER ALTERNATE COURSES – Use this space to list specific courses that could be
substituted for any PREFERRED COURSE. DO NOT list GEP categories.
