MTH 100
Systems of Linear Inequalities in Two
Variables
Objectives
1. Determine If an Ordered Pair Is a Solution to
a System of Linear Equalities in Two
Variables.
2. Graph Systems of Linear Inequalities.
Objective 1
• We’ve been here before, with one important
difference: systems of linear inequalities are
compound inequalities. The ordered pair
under consideration has to satisfy both
inequalities.
Objective 2
• When you are graphing a system of linear
inequalities, you have to graph both
inequalities. The solution to the system will be
the overlapping regions.
