I can study different art works that will help me with my idea for my final compositon. I can study the renaissance time period and identify famous artists from that time. I can create a foreshortening sketch. I can understand the importance of a strong focal point. I can complete my finished foreshortening drawing using proper shading techniques. I can create the illusion of depth with proper shading. I can complete my finished works and have a good, clean presentation. Identify the artist and match them to their artwork game. Create a drawing of a cube in 1, 2, and 3 point perspective. Define the terms in this unit Create a sketch that can illustrate foreshortening. Critique your own drawing and explain the iconography. Students will Examine architecture of the time such as various works by Brunelleschi. Compare some of the commission works during that time and those who commissioned artwork. Discuss iconography in such works as “The Arnolfini Wedding Portrait”. Examine various works by the famous artist DaVinci Compare some of the different artist’s sculptures of Rowan County Senior High School 2010-2011 Page 1 Introduction to Art Art 2013-14 “David” such as those by Michelangelo and Donatello. Discuss how all the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were named after artists during the Renaissance. Compare some works created in the Far East during the same time.
