A. including 15 in Geography (GEG 20, 274, 310, 330 and 343¹).
B. including 3 credits in Statistics (MAT 140 or 150, POL/PSY/SOC 200).
C. including 3 credits in Political Science (POL 10²).
2. 15 credits of General Education needed.
A. 9 credits of General Education Electives³.
B. 6 credits of intermediate-level Modern Language (ML) (e.g. SPA 103 and 104).
3. 30 of 45 credits in Geography needed.
A. 9 credits of Core courses.
B. 9 credits of Category Requirements⁴.
C. 9 credits in the Planning Track.

1. These courses count in the major so their units must be compensated for under General
Education as a University Elective, and under College Distribution as two Social Science
Electives and as two Free Electives.
2. Required for the mandatory minor in Political Science or Public Administration. Please see the
Department of Political Science to declare a minor.
3. Students not prepared to take a Modern Language at the intermediate level (e.g. SPA 103,
104) may need to take one or more introductory-level preparatory courses (e.g. SPA 11, 12).

5. A 2.5 or better GPA in Geography is required for GEG 394 Internship in Geography.
