TEACHER CANDIDATE ACTIVITIES The purpose of the field placement is to gain practical experience in the many aspects of the responsibilities delegated to teachers at the elementary and middle school levels. Teacher candidates should try to engage in as many varied experiences as possible. Below is a list of suggested activities that you may use as a guideline. As you participate in any of these activities, write the date on the appropriate line. For activities in which you participate on a daily basis, such as “Use a copier”, write the date you began that activity. 1. 2.
