Kutztown University Student Government Association Policies and Procedures Article I. Title: SGA Ticket Policy Revision Number 1 Approved: Proposed 1.0 Purpose This policy describes the guidelines and procedures to be employed when tickets are to be sold for events funded through SGA recognized groups. 2.0 Applicability and Scope This policy and guidelines applies to all members of the University community who which to sell tickets to events funded through SGA sponsored or approved organizations. 3.0 Definitions Terms are defined as needed within this document 4.0 Policy 4.1 Ticket Sales a. Through the Auxiliary Services Coordinator to KUSSI, a Ticket Request Form must be completed and numbered tickets dropped at off at least four weeks in advance of ticket sales. b. All advance ticket sales, distributions, and reservations will be conducted only at the MSU Information Desk. c. Arrangements for at the door ticket sales on the day of the event must be reviewed by the Auxiliary Services Coordinator to KUSSI at least one week in advance in order to coordinate details such as a cash box and security of funds. d. Publicity, identifying the location of ticket sales or information regarding the event, should refer to the MSU Information Desk. e. After an event the organization MUST deposit the cash collected at the door with Public Safety or the MSU Information Desk. 4.1.e.1 If the money is dropped at Public Safety is it the organizations responsibly to pick it up and take it over to KUSSI to be deposited on the next business day. 4.1.e.2 If the money is dropped at the MSU Information Desk it is the Organizations responsibility to go to KUSSI the next business day to confirm the deposit into their account. 4.2 Pricing Procedures a. With the exception of athletic events, the Association of Campus Events must review and approve ticket prices for SGA funded events. b. Any disputes concerning ticket prices may be appealed to the SGA Executive Committee. c. All ticket sales will be handled in a consistent manner, one ticket at the student price for students, faculty and staff with valid Kutztown University ID (unless otherwise specified by sponsor). 4.2.c.1 Additional tickets may be purchased at general admission prices with a valid form of identification. 4.3 The President of Kutztown University may be given up to fifty (50) complimentary tickets for major productions to be dispersed at the President’s discretion. Additional tickets for any other event may be allocated to the President, as requested
