Current Volunteer Opportunities Below is a brief summary of several Volunteer opportunities currently available with ISPE. Young Professional Committee – This committee will energize all of ISPE by drawing students, young professionals, and professionals new to the industry to become dynamic, involved participants in the Society throughout their careers and their professional development. Every consideration will be made to include young professionals on the Committee and its subcommittees. Membership Development Committee (MDC) Recruitment and Retention Position Subcommittee - Subcommittee Members develop programs and plans to recruit new members, and evaluate promotional offerings and services. Volunteer Development Subcommittee - Members of the Committee work as a team to accomplish its annual Business Plan goals and objectives related to the development of volunteer opportunities and support for ISPE’s volunteer program. Communities of Practice (COPs) Knowledge Brief Writers - Knowledge Briefs Writers work closely with the COP Steering Committee to present technical articles addressing relevant issues and providing resources to help industry professionals keep current on contemporary issues. Steering Committee – The global Steering Committee of a COP is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the COP. It determines when to encourage the formation of local COPs; and it ensures alignment of local COPs with the global COP. Subcommittee &/or Task Team - Team that is comprised of members whose primary focus is to address global topics, educational opportunities or issues that promote the global goals and objectives of the Good Control Laboratory Practices COP. Community Online Facilitators for various Communities of Practice (COPs) COP Online Facilitators assist the various COP Steering Committees with stewarding the body of knowledge associated with the COP and related discipline. Become an ISPE Ambassador Being an ISPE Ambassador gives you a chance to show the Membership and the industry that you really believe in ISPE and the opportunities that it provides. Authors and chapter leaders for writing new or reviving existing ISPE guidance documents Be a Speaker for conference tracks and Annual Meeting sessions Serving as a Certified Industry Professional (CPIP™), committee member or examination item writer Getting involved with your local Affiliate or Chapter to assist with Membership recruitment and retention, communications, events, educational programs Writing or reviewing a technical article
