Miscellaneous - Due to the changes in University and PASSHE policy over the past few years Edinboro’s School Psychology program became one of
the most expensive in the tri-state region. This had a serious impact on enrollment. Working with EU management the 10% tuition surcharge will be
dropped beginning with the fall semester of 2015. In addition, the credits for the two semester internship have been dropped from 18 to 6. The result
of these changes is that our School Psychology program is again one of the most affordable in the tristate region. As of June 2015 the entering cohort
for the fall of 2015 appears should be eight or more. Then entering cohort for 2013 and 2014 was five and four respectively.
1 and 2 – Candidates engaging in practicum and internship need to work with diverse populations (Our SPE does not provide quantitative guidelines
but historically many of our placements have been lower SES, rural/small town, and mostly white.). Dr. Snyder has worked with personnel in the
Erie School District to have more candidates to be placed there for these fields. This has substantially increased the time our candidates work with
diverse populations.
