The student will be assigned an academic advisor from each department. 2. The student must secure the approval of the dean responsible for each program to develop an approved plan of study which will enable the student to satisfy all requirements of both majors within the PASSHE allowable credit limit. 3. The student shall indicate which major is to be primary and which is to be secondary. Associate degree majors are not permitted under this procedure. 4. If the student wishes to reverse the primary/secondary major designation, he/she must notify the Registrar in writing and complete a new Dual Major Request form. Note: The primary/secondary major designation cannot be reversed after the student has graduated. 5. The degree designation of the primary major will appear on the transcript and on the diploma. 6. When the student applies for graduation, he/she must submit an online graduation application clearly indicating the application for the award of both majors with the primary major’s degree designation in the same semester. Students must fulfill requirements of both majors in order to be eligible to graduate. 7. If at some point the student no longer wishes to pursue two majors, he/she must notify the Registrar in writing. 8. Students seeking a dual major must accomplish it within regularly scheduled courses. 9. Pursuant to PASSHE Policy SA-047, Graduation Residency Requirements, undergraduate students must take at least 30 of their last 45 credits of their degree program in courses offered by Edinboro University. *See list of codes for available majors and concentrations on reverse side of this form. Typically, second majors may not be declared within a student’s first major department. Check with the Office of Records and Registration for exceptions.
