North County CARES is an award-winning initiative that promotes and supports service providers and employers by coordinating resources, identifying funding and offering educational opportunities for individual and community growth. North County CARES works with community leaders to enhance the quality of life for individuals and families and is tailored specifically for the North St. Louis County community. The initiative focuses primarily on three areas: •Professional development and support for employers and service providers who serve and hire low-skilled, low-wage workers. •Technical assistance to faith-based and community organizations. •Outreach and support to North St. Louis County school districts to create a link to the Florissant Valley campus. CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT (CEU) Five (5) hours of Continuing Education credit (CEU) will be available for summit attendees on Friday, Oct. 23. CEU certificates will be available immediately after the closing of the event. Attendees who fail to pick up their certificates must request them within 30 days of the event.
