Nahmias, 6th Edition Supplementary text: The Practice of Supply Chain Management by Harrison, Lee, and Neale, Springer 2005 Course Description: Model development for production planning and inventory control Production and inventory models for lot-sizing, dispatching, scheduling, releasing, material requirements planning Inventory and distribution problems in the context of supply chain management Supply chain management Course Objective: Developing a better understanding of production, operations, inventory, and supply-chain management problems, and providing foundations for deterministic and stochastic models/methods needed to solve these problems. Prerequisites: ISEN 315 or 420 or ISEN 622, STAT 212 or 601 or 414, and ISEN 421 or 601. Late assignments will not be accepted. If a test is missed, you must have a written authorized excuse. Grading: Exam 1 (25%), Exam 2 (25%), Exam 3 (25%), Homework (15%), Class participation (10%). Class participation is not the same as attendance! If a test is missed you must have a written authorized excuse. Exam 1: Feb 25 (Thursday), Exam 2: Apr 8 (Thursday), Exam 3 (final): May 11 (Tuesday). A for 100—90%, B for 89.9—80%, C for 79.9—70%, D for 69.9—60%, and F for less than 60%.
