After submitting an online application at www.mybrcc.edu, please have the following checked items brought to the admissions office. Since you have not yet submitted the indicated items, you have been provisionally accepted. Please note that students that are not meeting Satisfactory Progress (SAP), student types are Non – Matriculating, Visiting, International, Dual Enrollment/High School and students with a major of Non- Degree are not financial aid eligible. Please review the checklist below for documents that you are required to submit. If your admissions checklist is incomplete you are not eligible for financial aid. Official college transcript from all colleges/universities attended. Transcripts must be submitted in the following ways: In a sealed envelope from the college/university e-Script Mailed from the college Proof of Immunization (Must have MMR and Tetanus) Proof of Selective Service (Males 18-25 only) www.sss.gov Placement Scores. Transfer students who did not receive a C or better in a college level English or Math course must submit test scores. (The following are accepted and all must be within the last 3 years) ACT/SAT Scores COMPASS Scores o Testing Center Hours: Monday thru Tuesday: 7:30am – 6:30pm o Cost: Initial testing is included in application fee. Retests: $20 for entire test; $15 for 2 sections ; $7.50 for 1 section Official High School transcript or Official GED scores for all those with less than 12 college level credit hours. BRCC will request electronic high school transcripts for those graduating from a Louisiana High School in 2004 to present. If the transcript is not forwarded to BRCC by 30 days after you are admitted, you will need to bring in an official paper transcript in a sealed envelope to the Office of Enrollment Services. Log into LoLA here. 2. Select the Baton Rouge Community College Link in the Self-Service Section. 3. Select the Student tab. 4. Select the Admission option. 5. Choose the term of application in the Processed Application section. 6. Required documents will be listed at the end of your application summary. Submit all documents to the Admissions Office. How do I apply for Financial Aid at BRCC? To apply for financial aid at BRCC you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You should first register for a PIN at www.pin.ed.gov 1. Read the welcome page. 2. Select Apply Now for PIN (Parents of dependent students should also apply for a PIN). 3. Enter the requested personal information and select Next. 4. Verify the address information for accuracy, then select Yes. 5. Select Submit Application. 6. Print Confirmation page for your records. Now it is time to complete the FAFSA online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. To complete the FAFSA: 1. Have your most recent Federal Tax Return available. 2. Complete the entire application (Please note nothing should be left blank, enter ‘0’ if not applicable). 3. Enter the BRCC school code: 037303. 4. Sign your application electronically with your PIN. 5. Submit the application after all data has been entered and reviewed for accuracy. 6. Once your FAFSA has been processed, you will receive a Student Aid Report (SAR). How do I check the status of my Financial Aid? 1. Log into LoLA here. 2. Select the Financial Aid tab at the top of the page. 3. Select the Financial Aid Status option. 4. Select the Aid Year option and submit. 5. Choose the Award option. If you have been awarded Financial Aid it will display here along with the amount. How do I make payment arrangements? 1. Log into LoLA here. 2. Select the Baton Rouge Community College Link in the Self-Service Section. 3. Select the Student tab. 4. Select the Student Account option. 5. Choose the Account Summary by Term option. Your account balance and itemized charges will display. 6. Select Payment Options and follow the prompts to select your payment plan and make installment payment.
