Campaign Merger In 2010, the Local Employee Committees of the Lubbock and West Central Texas State Employee Charitable Campaigns (SECC) began looking for ways to make the campaign more efficient and cost-effective. It was decided to merge the campaign areas, bringing them under one local campaign manager. The Permian Basin campaign area, inactive since 2006, was also added to the merger to form the Greater West Texas SECC. This new campaign is managed by the Lubbock Area United Way and covers 47 counties. 47 COUNTIES COVERED BY THE GREATER WEST TEXAS SECC Andrews, Bailey, Borden, Brown, Callahan, Cochran, Coleman, Cottle, Crane, Crosby, Dawson, Dickens, Eastland, Ector, Fisher, Floyd, Gaines, Garza, Hale, Haskell, Hockely, Howard, Jones, Kent, King, Lamb, Lubbock, Lynn, Martin, Midland, Mitchell, Motley, Nolan, Pecos, Reeves, Scurry, Shackelford, Stephens, Stonewall, Taylor, Terrell, Terry, Throckmorton, map of secc campaign areas Upton, Ward, Winkler, Yoakum AMARILLO RED RIVER DENTON greater WEST TEXAS DALLAS/FT WORTH EAST TEXAS EL PASO WACO EL PASO T EX A CONCHO VALLEY BRAZOS VALLEY S P IN E B ELT CAPITAL AREA HOUSTON GALVESTON SAN ANTONIO LAREDO COASTAL BEND RIO GRANDE VALLEY 2010 Campaign Results Local Campaign Manager Lubbock Area SECC Lubbock Area United Way American Red Cross, South Plains Chapter Big Brothers Big Sisters Boy Scouts of America-South Plains Council CASA of Lubbock Catholic Family Services Children's Advocacy Center of Lubbock Communities in Schools Early Learning Centers of Lubbock Family Counseling Services Girl Scouts Texas Oklahoma Plains Goodwill Industries of Lubbock Guadalupe-Parkway Summerville Centers Legal Aid Society of Lubbock Literacy Lubbock Lubbock Boys' & Girls' Clubs Lubbock Children's Health Clinic Lubbock Rape Crisis Center Lutheran Social Services Parenting Cottage Salvation Army Volunteer Center of Lubbock Women's Protective Services YWCA of Lubbock TOTAL West Central Texas SECC $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ 62,887.96 9,956.36 4,241.00 7,202.92 25,145.08 31,405.46 11,148.86 640.00 5,933.42 1,145.33 4,740.68 1,026.00 4,341.05 1,938.96 6,221.32 7,184.53 2,678.12 11,799.28 4,171.28 3,146.00 24,444.96 1,506.56 28,705.67 2,616.00 264,226.80 United Way of Abilene Abilene Hope Haven Alliance for Women and Children Alzheimer Association, North Central Texas American Red Cross, Chisholm Trail Ben Richey Boys Ranch Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Texas Boys & Girls Club of Abilene Cancer Services Network Communities in Schools Day Nursery of Abilene Faithworks of Abilene Food Bank of West Central Texas Girl Scouts Texas Oklahoma Plains Noah Project Presbyterian Medical Care Mission The Salvation Army YMCA of Abilene $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ 4,396.00 1,091.00 696.00 952.50 546.75 2,591.17 519.00 1,372.65 1,633.25 145.00 469.00 408.75 4,519.00 709.00 2,117.00 277.00 1,169.00 314.00 $ 23,926.07 Local Unaffiliated Charities Lubbock Area SECC Assist Human Needs Buckner Children & Family Services Children's Home of Lubbock Children's Miracle Network Chorus of Angels Early Head Start High Plains Epilepsy Assn Hope Community of Shalom Hospice of Lubbock Humane Society of West Texas Lubbock Habitat for Humanity Lubbock Meals on Wheels Make-A-Wish Foundation Morris Safe House Planned Parenthood Ronald McDonald House of Lubbock South Plains Food Bank Volunteer Services Council Youth Corps, Inc.
