UNIVERSITY OF NORTHERN IOWA Department of Social Work CHILD WELFARE CERTIFICATE The UNI Child Welfare Certificate is intended to prepare social work majors to competently work in a variety of settings, including child protective services, adoption, foster care, youth services, and residential facilities (such as Bremwood, Quakerdale, and Four Oaks). To be awarded the Certificate you must graduate with a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Social Work. Please e-mail Dr. Jim McCullagh, the Certificate Coordinator, indicating your interest in completing the Certificate, and each semester e-mail him at james.mccullagh@uni.edu of courses you have completed toward the Certificate.
