Chabot College Spring 2002 Course Outline for Physical Education 2 FITNESS BOOT CAMP Catalog Description: PHED 2BC – Fitness Boot Camp 1 Unit (.5 unit lecture + .5 unit lab) Designed to give the student specific workout and nutritional guidelines to improve one’s level of fitness. The course includes: lecture and lab based on: assessment and goal setting, weight management with nutritional analysis and training principles to improve overall fitness. Students must attend the Orientation and Assessment in order to set up a personal fitness training schedule. 0.5 hour per week lecture + 2 hours per week lab. Prerequisite Skills: None Expected Outcomes for the Students: This course is designed to give the student understanding and instruction in specific training methods in order to improve their level of fitness.
