Matthew Nied is an associate in the Vancouver office practising in insolvency and commercial litigation.
Matthew's insolvency practice focuses on commercial restructuring, receiverships and bankruptcy
proceedings, while his commercial litigation practice focuses on shareholder and securities litigation, corporate
arrangements, contractual disputes and tort claims. He has appeared before the Supreme Court of British
Columbia, the British Columbia Securities Commission and the Provincial Court of British Columbia.
Matthew practised at another national firm prior to joining Cassels Brock and clerked for several judges of the
Supreme Court of British Columbia prior to commencing practice.
Matthew regularly publishes articles identifying legal developments and their practical implications for industry
stakeholders.
