Career Fair; Mentor Program; Budget; Student Leadership Retreats; Annual Meeting; Awards • Develop Committee Mission Statement • Hold Regular Meetings • Assign Individuals to Target New Institutions Industry and Faculty Advisors • Provide advice, guidance and encouragement to the Student Chapter in all of its activities. • Industry Advisor is the liaison to ISPE and its resources • Faculty Advisor is the liaison to the educational institution and its resources • Can be a great help in utilizing their contacts with the local Affiliate/Chapter, various companies in the industry, International ISPE and the educational community to gain support and assistance for the Student Chapter’s activities. Student Chapter Executive Committee Duties Manage the affairs of the Student Chapter Approve activities and appointments to Student Chapter Committees Determine who is authorized to sign documents on behalf of the Student Chapter Student Chapter President • • • • • • Supervise and promote the Student Chapter with the help of the Executive Committee. Preside at meetings of the Student Chapter and Executive Committee. Call meetings of the Executive Committee. Submit Student Chapter List of Officers and Advisors within two weeks of annual election and the President’s Report two weeks prior to the end of school. Appoint chairs of various committees with approval from Executive Committee. Require periodic reports of all committee chairs and executive officers. Student Chapter Treasurer • • • • • • • • Official keeper of funds of the Student Chapter. Responsible for all receipts and disbursement of funds. Maintain Student Chapter financial records and turn over all records and correspondence to successor. Prepare and submit treasurer’s report and income/expenses to ISPE HQ and Advisors two weeks prior to the end of the school year. Arrange for safekeeping of the Student Chapter funds in a checking or special funds account as approved by the Executive Committee. Deposit all funds in the bank account as soon as received. Reconcile the monthly bank statement. Prepare and submit budget at the beginning of the school year. Student Chapter Vice President • • • Serve as the first assistant to the President and assume all duties of the President in their absence/disability. At the President’s direction, accept responsibility for specific Student Chapter activities. Submit tentative calendar of activities at the beginning of each semester or quarter to ISPE Headquarters and each Advisor. Student Chapter Secretary • • • • • • Official correspondent for the Student Chapter and all Student Chapter meetings. Maintain correspondence and records of the office and turn over to their successor. Prepare agenda for all meetings and distribute meeting notices in a timely fashion. Provide copies of minutes of all meetings to all Members and Advisors at least ten days before the next meeting. Send all Student Membership applications with payment for dues to the ISPE International office for processing immediately upon receipt. Maintain a current roster listing addresses, phone numbers, and emails of all Student Chapter Members.
