Aco-director/assistantcoachwasaddedtotheteamtodealwiththeworkloadthatwas
crushingthesouloftheDirectoroftheteam.We’vealsoutilizedmoreelectronicresources
likeBlackboardtoallowstudentstoperformtheirownresearchwhileawayfromthe
instructors.We’vealsoaddedtheuseofagoogledrivetoallowforreal-timeeditingand
filesharingfortheentireteam.Thisalsoallowsthestorageofspeechesfromthepastin
ordertoshowstudentsbettermodelsofsuccessfulmaterial.
5. Basedonthecurrentassessmentandreflections,whatcourse-levelandprogrammatic
strengthshavetheassessmentreflectionsrevealed?Whatactionshasyourdiscipline
determinedmightbetakenasaresultofyourreflections,discussions,andinsights?
TheForensicsprogramcontinuestobestrongdespitepoorfundingthathasn’trisenina
decade.Therisingcostsofentiresandhotelslimitstheamountoftournamentstheteam
cangoto,harmingCLO’sandprogrammaticsuccess.Wehavedecidedthatwewill
continuetoaskformorefunding…again,onlythisteamwemayhavesuccess.Aclear
ratioofnationalmedalstomoneydeservedwouldhelp.
Additionally,wearenowhiringanewDirectorofForensicstoaddmorediversityand
depthtothedepartment.Asofnow,thereisonlyoneDirectorandthismakesany
pedagogicalgrowthdifficult.
