ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Cultural Diversity Requirement : Effective Fall 1993, entering freshman and transfer students must complete 2 “diversity-focused” courses (6
credits) as identified in the General Education and Distribution Requirements portion of the Class Scheduling Information available on Bloomsburg
University’s website. By planning carefully, you can meet this requirement by selecting courses which also meet General Education and/or Business
Administration requirements.
** Students Entering the Program Beginning with the Summer of 1998: Six credits of the electives in Business must be 400-level Accounting
courses (NOT to include ACCT432, Accounting Internship; ACCT436 Fraud Investigation; ACCT456, Computer Forensics and Fraud Examination;
OR ACCT498, Introduction to Health Care).
Graduation Requirements : Students are required to have earned an overall 2.0 cumulative average to graduate. Accounting majors are required to
have earned a 2.0 cumulative average in: 1) Business Core requirements, 2) Accounting Specialization requirements, and 3) Electives in Business.
Forty percent (40%) of all courses (48 credits) must be completed at the upper division level.
University Course Withdrawal Policy : Please see the “Pilot” or BU catalog for further information.
University Course Repeat Policy : Please see the “Pilot” or BU catalog for further information.
BUSED333, Business Communication, is REQUIRED. ENGL200, Writing Proficiency Exam does not satisfy this requirement.
BUSED101, Intro to Business is acceptable as a Group B-Social Sciences course.
College of Business courses may not be taken on a pass/fail basis.
Students must take a minimum of 57 credits in courses outside of the College of Business. Required Economics courses (ECON prefix) are counted
as part of the University’s general education requirements and not as business courses.
In selecting an elective, the student is reminded to have the proper prerequisites and to avoid elective courses below that level for which the student
has already been prepared in the subject field.
NOTE : “It is the responsibility of the student to know and observe the academic policies and regulations of the University, to confine registration
to courses for which the prerequisites have been satisfied, and to meet the requirements for graduation.” (BU Catalog, Academic Policies, Practices
and Services) PLEASE SEE YOUR ADVISOR REGULARLY—AT LEAST ONCE EACH SEMESTER DURING THE
ADVISEMENT/SCHEDULING PERIOD.
