Application instructions are available on the Nursing Office website at www.chabotcollege.edu/nurs. We admit students once a year in the fall. The Fall Application opens November 1st through January 31st. Before you can apply to our nursing program you must attend a mandatory pre-nursing orientation meeting. Please check our website for the dates. Students then can complete the application, criterion worksheet and submit with supporting documentation. View website for current application process. Admission Requirements for Chabot College: Chabot Community College has a four semester Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program. Students are admitted once a year in the fall. Program admission is contingent upon meeting all minimum requirements. To be eligible for admission, students must complete the following fixed courses prior to enrollment: English 1A, Sociology 1, Psychology 1, Communications 1, or10, and Math 55. GPA Requirements for Chabot College Nursing Program: 1. 2. An overall science grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 for Human Anatomy, Human Physiology and Microbiology courses with only one “C.” Each course must be 4-5 semester units with lab. The calculation shall include no more than one repetition for ONE of the above stated science courses OR withdrawal from one of these courses. Students who have withdrawn or repeated will have 2 points deducted from their score. TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills) Requirements for Chabot College: A minimum composite score of 62% on the TEAS version V, with no more than one unsuccessful attempt is required. Have a 3.00 average prerequisite GPA in: ALL EIGHT prerequisite courses combined, AND Just the FOUR prerequisite science courses. OR Have a 3.00 average cumulative GPA at the school where you attended your Nursing program. • Applications that meet minimum GPA are reviewed; ALL QUALIFIED APPLICANTS that meet minimum GPA will be randomized into one list. •BASED ON SPACE AVAILABLE, STUDENTS FROM THE TOP PORTION OF THE RANDOMIZED LIST will be offered admission to the program. •CANDIDATES NOT OFFERED ADMISSION will stay in same random order and be placed on a WAITLIST How Do I Apply to CSU East Bay’s ADN to BSN program? The ADN to BSN Advanced Placement Option is a 12 month intensive program. All courses are on-line except for the Community Health practicum and the Health assessment course. The program begins in the fall semester after completion of the AND program and passing the RN licensing exam (NCLEX). Incoming ADN students will be awarded 20 upper division college credit units for passing the NCLEX-RN exam.
