Ability to Benefit Test
New Ability to Benefit regulations took effect July 1, 2012. If you enrolled into an
eligible program prior to July 1, 2012, you may be eligible for Financial Aid by
passing an Ability to Benefit (ATB) test or successfully completing at least six units
of academic coursework.
We provide the ATB test upon a written referral from the Chabot College Financial
Aid office. This is a pass or fail test and is done by appointment only.
Review the study guides for Reading Comprehension, Sentence Skills and Basic
Math (Arithmetic)
Contact the Assessment Center to make an appointment.
Do your Best! Your ATB test results will be used to determine your eligibility for
financial aid and may also be used for English and math course placement.
Vocational/Career Testing
The Strong and Myers-Briggs tests are available on a referral basis only. If you are
already working with a counselor, you could ask your counselor for a referral. Please
contact the
