Statement of 700-1000 words. Indicate your academic interests, your career objectives, and how these interests and objectives suit you to graduate study at Texas Tech. You may also include other information that would be helpful to those reviewing your application. 2. Writing sample. Applicants in literature and linguistics should provide an essay that shows capacity for analytical writing and scholarly research (8-12 pp.). Applicants in creative writing should submit a prose piece or brief collection of poems (8-12 pp.). 3. Resume, CV, or List of Publications and Awards. This document is optional for the application process, but we may need it in order to nominate you for university fellowships and scholarships. 4. Letters of Recommendation. Please have the three recommenders named above send their recommendations as email attachments to english.gradadvisor@ttu.edu.
