Design Activity 3: Poster Plan and design an attractive and appealing poster to advertise a fictional seminar. Use colour and images as you see fit. The details of the seminar are as follows: The seminar is being given by a visiting academic Dr Martyn Wild from the University of Washington. Dr Wild will be presenting a talk to interested staff and students in Room 3.251 of the Arts Building at ECU Mount Lawley on Thursday July 14th 2007 at 12pm. A light lunch will be provided. The title of his talk will be Electronic Performance Support Systems for Learning. Dr Wild will be talking about the design of electronic performance systems as learning supports for large undergraduate classes. He will be using ideas developed from his research activities and will showcase student work from his classes at The University of Washington. Intending attendees need to respond by Thursday 30th June 2007. Submission Requirements Submit your solution to this problem as a Word document . The submission should follow the format given below: • The first page should show the poster • the following pages should contain information that describes the design considerations you used and explains how the design was planned and the design principles employed, with references to the readings and resource material that informed your design. • You are required to gain some feedback on the quality of the brochure from appropriate sources. The feedback should deal with such aspects of the design as attractiveness, appeal and readability. Discuss the feedback gained and describe improvements/changes made.
