Changes to Railway Group Standards: New proposals

Withdrawal of GERT8023 issue one ‘Compatibility between Electric Trains and
Electrification Systems’ as a Railway Group standard
ENE SC agreed that content of GERT8023 and GEGN8623 needs to remain and should
be kept as a single RIS. A proposal to update and revise the content of the RIS should
be then brought back to ENE SC for review.
ENE SC noted that all interdependent documents should be withdrawn and re-issued
as RISs at the same time to avoid further confusion.

Project 10/017c Signal Sighting Assessment
ENE SC noted RIS-0737-CCS issue one, GKRT0045 issue five and GKGN0645 issue five
with corresponding impact assessment and briefing note, for publication, and the
withdrawal of GKRT0045 issue four and GKGN0645 issue four.
Post meeting note: GKRT0045 is planned for withdrawal by the end of 2016.

Rule Book change
D Knights provided a verbal update on proposed changes to Rule Book module AC and
Handbook 16. RSSB met with NR to discuss the wording of the Rule Book and review
four proposals.
The group agreed that the title should be changed from AC to Overhead Line.
It was noted that the group found a number of inconsistencies and provided a number
of text proposals to TOM SC. Majority of the proposals have been accepted.
D Knights reported that it was agreed to deal with all those issues / proposals in one go
rather than separately.

Merging of Projects 15-013 and 15-014
D Knights informed the committee that TOM SC decided to merge projects 15-013, 15014 and two new work stream proposals received relating to them into one project,
15-014.
