EVENTS AND ATTIRE
Cardiovascular disease remains the number one killer of men and women in the
United States, and is a major cause of disability. In order to improve patient outcomes
and reduce cardiovascular risk, physicians and clinicians must gain the knowledge,
skill, and resources to integrate the latest research and clinical guidelines in the context of their own practice.
WEDNESDAY, MAY 30 from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. - Pre Meeting Workshops.
At ESCAPE you will hear nationally renowned speakers discuss four preventionfocused areas relative to cardiologists and practicing physicians and clinicians:
Practical Prevention, Hot Topics in Prevention, Pivotal Perspectives in Prevention, and
Prevention Potpourri. This conference will close the knowledge gaps between national
guideline goals, practice, and research. Physicians and clinicians will have the opportunity to discuss with the speakers and other attendees on how these principles can
be applied to patient care in the context of their own practice in order to decrease
cardiovascular disease risk.
Core Competencies: Patient Care and Medical Knowledge.
