stochastic processes.
Good IT knowledge (UNIX, LINUX) and general understanding of computers. Long experience
with programming (C/C++ and Perl).

Postdoc at CEES, University of Oslo (UiO):
Inference on stochastic differential equations for modelling multi-layered
models for phenotypic evolution. The work so far has involved a great deal
of programming as well as mathematics. Also involved in some other time
series modeling.
Researcher at the Norwegian Computing Center (NR).
I have been working at a simulation problem concerning financial risk, some
portability issues and initial analysis on medical data.
Research fellow in a Ph.D. study, University of Oslo (UiO):
Bayesian and classical analysis performed on hydrological data. The
problems were taken from NVE and given further academic study, but
always with a practical application in mind. I had a research fellow position
that required 25% teaching, which has given me some pedagogical
background.
Norwegian Water and Energy Administration (NVE), Oslo:
Consultant position for making and maintaining programs that use statistical
tools developed during the Ph.D. study.
Norwegian Water and Energy Administration (NVE):
Senior engineer at the informatics section of the hydrological group (HI),
where I for 8 years developed programs. Mainly, I used C++ on a
UNIX/Linux platform. The problems mainly revolved around connecting the
hydrological database with analysis and presentations. Some of the analysis
was of a statistical nature. Some experience with Perl, Shell and Java.
Participant in the PRISS project at USIT:
C programming of printer routines.
Participation at CERN:
Supervision of data collection.
Group teacher for two semesters at the department of theoretical
physics, UiO.
Languages
Norwegian and English
Spare time interests
Science, history, science fiction, fantasy, games, weight lifting, comic books,
bicycling
