 Consulted and worked with District Student Services and faculty in the
design and implementation of programs that connect students to community
partners and civic opportunities within the community and DCCCD
institutions.
 Expanded the District Service Learning program and Civic Engagement
program and was responsible for seeking, establishing and developing
purposeful relationships with over 75 key community agencies and their
leaders.
 Supervised and evaluated 1,100 Service Learning students, 200 Service
Learning faculty, and 75 community partners.
 Directed and supported 7 Service Learning Campus Coordinators.
 Trained incoming Service Learning Campus Coordinators and Community
Partners.
 Created and implemented Be the Change, a one day District wide student day
of service for DCCCD students.
 Charged the DCCCD Day of Service Committee providing volunteer
opportunities for 7,000 District employees.
 Updated and maintained the DCCCD Service Learning website.





Produced the DCCCD Community Partner Handbook to assist Service
Learning Community Partners.
Established Service Learning Community Fairs at 4 DCCCD campuses.
Proposed and established the DFW Service Learning Intercollegiate Council
Service Learning Conference sponsored by Texas Campus Compact.
Established the DCCCD Service Learning Appreciation and Awards
Luncheon.
Developed and implemented the DCCCD Service Learning Video, used to
recruit and promote Service Learning initiatives within the Dallas County
Community College District.

Independent School District students.
 Partnered with the Department of Outreach to offer a large variety of
programs in support of outreach and retention initiatives, including
community wide events.
 Provided informational presentations for parents and students, worked
closely with K-12 partners and the Dallas Independent School District to
promote higher learning.
