Resource Advisory Services is a fee-only financial planning firm, dedicated to developing relationships that
help people build and enjoy wealth. We currently serve approximately eighty-five clients, with approximately
$100 million of investment assets. We also enjoy a steady flow of new client relationships. Client ages range
from their 30s to well past retirement. One principal/mentor is 38. The other is 67. Both are NAPFARegistered Financial Advisors, with eleven and thirty years of experience serving clients. For more about

FINANCIAL PLANNING ASSISTANT
This mentoring relationship will primarily be with Bryan Hankla CFP® and David Lewis. The Financial
Planning Assistant will be guided toward professional capabilities to become a Certified Financial Planner,
NAPFA-Registered Financial Advisor and a successful team member - valued by the firm and clients we
serve. Key responsibilities expected at six months of experience include:
 Prepare written reports from templates, by entering key written financial information and
editing text to assist lead financial advisor, while learning effective client service skills
 Research client relationships to contribute relevant non-financial language for reports and
other communications
 Attend client meetings to capture verbal information, draft meeting notes and organize nonverbal information received, for useful client advice, often in written form
 Demonstrate the ability to begin serving clients with developing professional relationships
Successful candidates will have:




Demonstrated strong desire to be a highly qualified professional financial planner
Passion for serving others, with a wide range for financial planning advice
Strong writing and editing skills
Functional spreadsheet skills - including data entry, formula manipulation, layout and graphic
design
 Intellectual and personal relationship skills that translate well to communication about
personal financial issues
 Demonstrated personal commitment to earn CFP® and NAPFA credentials
