Action on
Minutes
The minutes from the Fourth Meeting, dated October 14, 2003, were approved.
AACSB Visit
Tallon reported the AACSB Visit Team has recommended to the national office that our
college and the accountancy programs maintain our accredited status for the next six
years. Our next visit will be in five years.
MKTG 365
The committee approved crosslisting MKTG 365 as FCNS 365X to accommodate TAM
majors. (See page 1 of 1)
Limited
Retention
As requested by APASC, a document stating the limited retention requirements for
College of Business majors will be forwarded to the Provost’s office. The committee
strongly supports maintaining these requirements in the departmental sections of the
catalog, regardless of any decision to duplicate the material in other sections.
Ethics in the
Curriculum
Incorporating the topic of ethics into the business curriculum was discussed.
Departments should submit by March 1 a report of where ethics appears in their
curriculum and plans for expansion of the topic.
Assessment
A revised Undergraduate Learning Outcome Assessment Process was distributed.
Further discussion will continue at the next meeting.
Curricular
Process
Members were asked to remind their respective departmental curriculum committees that
any catalog copy forwarded to the college level must be accompanied by approved
minutes indicating the attached revision/addition/deletion was approved.
Unpublished
Prerequisites
Although not perceived as a current problem in the college, members agreed that
prerequisite courses which are necessary for students to succeed in a course should be
listed in the catalog.
MKTG *425
A revision to the prerequisite for MKTG *425 was distributed. Further discussion will
take place at the next meeting.
On-line Courses
Discussion of on-line courses took place. More information will be gathered prior to
establishing suggested guidelines for offering such courses.
Adjournment
The meeting adjourned at 3:25 p.m.
Next Meeting
The next meeting will be on Tuesday, November 11, at 2:00 p.m.
Minutes approved: October 31, 2003

Course revision: Page 78, 2003-04 Undergraduate Catalog
365. PRINCIPLES OF RETAILING (3). Crosslisted as FCNS 365X. …
Rationale: This course is highly relevant to TAM majors who find employment in apparel retailing. Crosslisting the
course enables those majors easier identification of the course.
