James R. Thomas, JD, CPA
Jim Thomas is a partner at CliftonLarsonAllen LLP (“CLA”), a national
accounting and consulting firm. He has Bachelor of Science in Accounting from
Illinois State University and a Juris Doctorate from Loyola University of Chicago
School of Law. Jim has been a certified public accountant in the state of Illinois
since 1987 and has worked at CLA his entire professional career. Jim is a
participant in CLA’s career leadership program.
As an assurance partner, Jim focuses on audit and consulting engagements of
entities operating in the following industries: not-for-profit, services and
publishing. Jim also provides non-traditional services including operational
reviews and forensic accounting. Jim also has responsibility for recruiting
activities and CLA’s staff career development network.
Jim is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants
(AICPA) and the Illinois CPA Society (ICPAS) and American Judicature Society.
