course evaluations University of Utah Course and Instructor Evaluation Written Comments Report Fall 2005 College/School: College of Science Instructor: PRESZLER,JASON ISAAC; Subject: Mathematics Quant Analysis Course: Print Date: 19-Jan-06 Course #: 1100 - 006 Enrollment: Evaluations processed: 23 12 List two things about the course content, materials or design that were effective for your learning, or make constructive suggestions for improvement. It seemed as if we moved rather fast through some of the material. I felt a bit rushed. One topic I felt we should have gone over more was optimization. Maybe if the class was 20 minutes longer, it would have allowed more time to ask questions on homework and cover new material more thoroughly. I think a new textbook is needed! I didn't like how the book was written and thought it was more confusing than helpful. Good text book and class notes The content was hard to follow. Very Hard 1- I appreciated reviewing problems that the class had trouble with 2- It seems like each class time was not enough becuase a lot of calc probs takes up a lot of time to go over PRESZLER,JASON ISAAC: List two things about this instructor that were effective for your learning, or make constructive suggestions for improvement. Jason is always willing to meet me outside of class to give me some one-on-one help. He wants everyone to be successful in his class. I wished he would have done more examples in class and would have given us examples that were more similar to what was going to be on the tests. The instructor sucked. He went over the information too fast and gave test questions that he couldnt even do. Awesome grasp of the subject, explains things well, is open to questions and doesnt move too quickly, really open to out of class help. Jason is a great teacher. Very Hard 1- The instructor was willing to go over any problems that students had troble with 2- The instructor was very patient and respectful to the students
