CAMP
Beat the heat this summer with 10 weeks of cool and creative
programs at the Music & Arts Center in Downtown Kennewick!
2015
Members will shoot and edit short films, learn photography skills,
go on scavenger hunts, create works of art, get hands-on with
Lego robotics, create digital music, learn how to play
instruments, design video games, and much more!
Camps run from
June 15 – August 21
$150 each week
(Open 8am - 6:30pm)

Technology lovers unite! This week,
we’ll get hands-on with Lego robotics,
put together our own computers, build
our own websites, and learn how to
create and mix digital music.
June 29th – July 2nd

Arcade & Video Game Design
Put your thinking caps on! We’ll spend
this week putting together our own
arcade games using advanced Lego
robotics and everyday items like
cardboard and paper cups. We’ll also
design video games on computers in
our iMac Lab.
July 6th – July 10th
Messy Art

Keep your nice clothes at home this
week! We’ll be creating abstract art by
throwing darts at balloons full of
paint, we’ll hold a color dye run,
create splatter paint art, and we’ll put
together a paint slip n slide. We’ll also
take a trip to a local art exhibit.

Teens will hit the road and head to
Lights, camera, MACtion! During this
Seattle and surrounding areas this
camp, we’ll work in groups to create our
week. We’ll visit the Space Needle, the
own short films. We’ll write the script,
Seattle Aquarium, the Experience
learn how to storyboard, act out the
Music Project Museum, and more!

Explore the mystery of dinosaurs this
week as we go on an archeological dig,
create our own fossils, and head to a
mammoth research site. Teen members
will also be able to take a trip to see
Jurassic World!

Focus on Photography
Enroll
No need to bring your cell phones this
week. We’ll be creating REAL games
inspired by cell phone apps. We’ll
recreate Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja,
Temple Run and more!
August 3rd – August 7th
What’s that in the sky? This week,
we’ll learn about constellations and
the planets. We’ll build bottle rockets,
take a trip to the CBC Planetarium,
and just for fun we’ll create our own
lightsabers and do some Jedi training!

great photos! We’ll learn the rules of
framing, lighting and focus. We’ll also
learn how to use a green screen, and
we’ll take some trips to Badger
Mountain, Bateman Island, and
Columbia Park.
Other summer information:
This week, we’ll learn how to read
music, play different instruments, and
even start our own rock band! We’ll
also spend time in the iMac Lab
creating our own digital music.
・We will go swimming every Wednesday afternoon
・We will serve a morning snack at 8:30 am
& an afternoon snack at 4 pm
・Most camp activities will run from 9:30 am - 4 pm
