Minutes for Meeting of December 10, 2007
A scheduled meeting of ASCAP was held on Monday, December 10 at 3:00 p.m. in Holden Hall 129.
Committee members present were: Ken Baake, Jim Clopton, Greg Gellene, Ram Iyer, Mark Stoll, and
David Roach. Presenters were: Cal Barnes and Chris Weiss (Geosciences); Randy McBee, Ron Milam,
and James Reckner (History); and Jeremy Mason (Chemistry & Biochemistry).
1. Committee voted to recommend to the next level of consideration the following proposal
from the Department of Geosciences.
• Add ATMO 2316 Severe and Hazardous Weather to General Education list of courses satisfying
the Applied Science and Technology requirement.
2. Committee voted to recommend to the next level of consideration the following proposals
from the Department of History.
• Add HIST 5329 Studies in US Sea Power
• Add HIST 5330 Studies in the Vietnam War
• Add HIST 5331 Studies in the Classics of Military History
• Add HIST 5361 Studies in the History of Insurgency
3. Committee voted to recommend to the next level of consideration the following proposals from the
Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry.
